Nataliia Bukreieva speaks about: Ukraine's resistance against Russian aggression and the women's contribution

In recent years, Ukraine has emerged as a symbol of resilience in its ongoing war with Russia. Russian aggression stemming from the annexation of Ukrainian Crimea in 2014, intervention to Eastern Ukraine, was deployed as the wholescale warfare in 2022. When Ukraine seeks to uphold the principles of democracy and the rule of law, Russia asserts its world influence via nuclear weapon intimidation. By demonstrating that aggression should not be tolerated, Ukraine defends its sovereignty and has implications for global security and the balance of power in Europe.

Nataliia Bukreieva, who presents the topic, obtained a PhD in economics (2011) and an MBA in finance (2020). She expanded her professional experience mainly in Swiss industrial international companies. Nataliia and her family have been closely faced with russian invasion of Ukraine; they were forced to flee from occupied territories, and a few hits from russian tank destroyed her house. Exploring the women's contribution to Ukraine's resistance, Nataliia highlights their courage and commitment to defending homeland by being in the military on a volunteer basis, providing broad para-medical assistance, via art acknowledging with the national pain of mass murders of Ukrainians, and even rescuing of animals from affected regions. By facing this topic, audiences can gain a deeper understanding of the sacrifices made by the Ukrainian people, the strategic significance of the blood-stained fight, and the role of women in it.
